WERE: Conservation & Contemporary Stone oversaw the Restoration and Conservation of Striation Place.
The project took about a year and consisted of the following repair works:
- Chimneys were replaced and rebuilt.
- Windows replaced: Included: Cills, Jams, Lintels.
- Bay windows replaced.
- Decorative and Moulded work on the front and back elevation.
- Structural Reinforcement.
- Base course replacements, including plinths.
All work was carried out to replace and match the existing historical stone work.
This was done using Lockerbriggs Red Sand Stone, from the quarry in Lockerby, Dumfries & Galloway.
