Our Team at WERE Conservation undertook the rebuilding of the Buccleuch Street Church Spire.
This was a large project which was undertook over a 2 year period.
The spire had already been dismantled because it had become dangerous. We were tasked with rebuilding and making it safe once again. The stones had to be graded into courses, ready to reinstall. Once graded all the stones had to be built and tided together using stainless steel bars. A huge structural undertaking using hoists and block and tackles.
